Chateau Kefraya - Les Bréteches

It is in the heart of Bekaa that Michel de Bustros made of the Castle Kefraya one of the references of the Lebanon worldwide. The setting-up of the biggest vineyard of the Lebanon began in 1951. It is about a 160 hectare domain. It is only in 1979 that the Castle Kefraya begins producing and converting into wine its own grapes. The elaboration of the wine of Castle Kefraya is the result of a drastic selection of soils, exhibitions, plots of land, returns and vines.

A luxurious dress in the purple reflections, adorned by an aromatic note and a bouquet of red and relieved fruit. Harmonious and persistent, with an attractive sensation in mouth.

A little of history: Brétèches, word become obsolete is mentioned in Littré: ' former military term. Piece of fortification. Decorate with skeleton in projection on faces of masonry, opening in the bottom by wide machicolations and laterally as well as frontally, by crenellations dressed in shutters ' any things representing (as we see it on the labels of wines produced here) on the facade of the castle of Kefraya

Domaine Wardy

The wine Wardy made its entrance on the Lebanese and international markets three and a half years ago. Our innovation consists in having presented to the public a range of wines monovines (made from a kind of grape) ", explains Mr Wardy. " It is the reason for which our product was so much appreciated. " But, especially, what we can admire in this domain close to Zahlé, it is the beautiful building sheltering cellars, heightened by the introduction in its architecture of stones of a school dating 1906.

A pleasant red wine, mixed by Frank Cabernet, Cabernet Sauvignon, Marselan and Caladoc. It offers a very good structure and smoother tannins with the allusions of fresh black cherries.

Coteaux du Liban - Chateau 2000

This wine, produced on calcareous and clayey soils; picked in the hand, results from a wise mixture of Cabernet-Sauvignon, Syrah and Merlot. Matured in barrels of French of oak, the hillside of the Lebanon has a harmonious flavour with a long taste of maturity and the body and the subtle tannins.
